About
My work and talks sit at the intersection of AI systems, the economics of work, and what it means to be human as intelligence becomes cheaper and more widely available.

I’m interested in both sides of the shift: the practical ways autonomous agents are becoming useful today, and the deeper changes they might create for jobs, organizations and human identity.
I did a PhD in artificial intelligence and went on to work as a software engineer at Google and on Amazon Alexa. At Google I had the privilege of getting up to the mic at the weekly all-hands and asking the founders annoying questions. One of mine: as engineers, our job is to automate everyone else’s — so will we be the last to go? Their answer was that our jobs were safe for many, many years. It turned out “many” was about six.
Since then I’ve founded several startups and today I lead Longevipedia, which is how the science of ageing became my second stage topic. I still build with AI agents every day — what used to be programming is now mostly briefing, reviewing and managing a small team of them. That hands-on practice is what keeps my talks grounded.
I’ve been giving talks about AI since 2023 — in festival tents, university halls, coworking spaces, hotel ballrooms and on a cruise ship, where I was named Best Speaker. Wherever the stage is, the question is the same: when intelligence becomes cheap, what remains valuable?

- “Has selfies with Geoffrey Hinton and Jensen Huang.
- “Met Sam Altman in 2017 — and was too shy to ask for a selfie.

Daniel Duma, PhD, is a keynote speaker exploring what remains valuable when intelligence becomes cheap. He holds a PhD in artificial intelligence, has worked as an engineer at Google and on Amazon Alexa, has founded several startups and today leads Longevipedia. His talks connect what AI can do right now — from autonomous agents like OpenClaw to the latest employment data — with the bigger questions it raises for businesses, careers and human identity. He has given 36 keynotes, panels and sessions across 12 countries, and won Best Speaker at the AI Cruise (Nomad Cruise 17). He also speaks about the science of longevity.
Our next speaker used to spend his Thursdays at Google asking the founders awkward questions from the audience mic. He has a PhD in artificial intelligence, has built technology at Google and on Amazon Alexa, and today runs Longevipedia while managing a small team of AI agents. He is here to ask a question that should keep all of us up at night — in a good way: when intelligence becomes cheap, what remains valuable? Please welcome Dr Daniel Duma.
